Sanya points
Sanya have earned 6 points for the Australia to Australia leg including 3 points for the sprint. This makes up for the wind hole disappointments. Well done Sanya.
Skipper report. 11th January.
Sanya ETA
Sanya is now expected to arrive at Airlie Beach marina pontoon on Monday between 07.00 and 09.00 local time. They are 10 hours ahead, so between 21.00 and 23.00 GMT on Sunday evening. There should be live coverage on Facebook should you wish to see the happy arrival.
This is Rachel’s last leg, so there will be mixed emotions. Gordon and Janet Riddler , her good friends, will be there to greet her and support her for a few days holiday and transport to Brisbane for the flight home.
Our congratulations go to Rachel for her safe return, outstanding courage and tenacity to complete this amazing undertaking. Rachel will have stories to tell for the rest of her life. We look forward to hearing some of them.
Rachel should have enormous pride in what she has achieved. So few people will have even contemplated such an adventure. She not only contemplated it, but signed up for it, and achieved it. Wow. Well done Rachel. We are full of admiration for you. It has been a rollercoaster, but you have survived both mentally and physically. You are one brave lady!
We have all missed you Rachel, and look forward to giving you big hugs on your return home.
Skipper’s report. January 10th.
