Message from Rachel

Hello everyone. Thank you very much for your support and texts while I’ve been in Punta. The journey to Cape Town starts tomorrow, so this is my last message to you all from Uruguay – next one will be from South Africa. Keep an eye on the Clipper website Sanya blogs to see if I’ve written one!

Lots of love from Rachel.

Refresher course

Yesterday Rachel had 8 full hours on Sanya undertaking an intensive refresher course and test. She did, of course, pass. Well done Rachel.

She is now back to helping Su with the victualling.

Tomorrow is the last day in port and involves the crew briefing. She also has to find ways of storing her kit. There really is very little space, especially on the top bunk.

Tomorrow will also be the last communication from Rachel before Cape town.

Bunk allocation.

Rachel has been allocated a top bunk. She is not happy and a bit apprehensive.

She must vacate hotel tomorrow and transfer her kit this evening and tomorrow. She cannot manage 2 bags at the same time. She has been allocated victualling jobs until 10.00 pm tonight. She is not sure when she can move the bags.

Tomorrow she has to pass tests during the refresher course and sailing. She is not confident, but I am.

Please be thinking of her in the next few hours.

Blog management

Some folk are getting too many E mails. Probably because you have triggered “follow”. Suggest you stop follow and look up the blog at your convenience. Find the blog via google and copy onto your homepage. Just tap when ready. The beauty of this is that you can follow the whole blog history from the start or just the last post. Lindsay.
