Wild conditions

No seasickness on board despite wild seas. Good news!
Day 9. Overall report from Clipper
Race Crew Supporters guide for Cape Town.
This’s is where they are heading.

Day 9 from Sanya skipper
Day 8 from Sanya skipper.
Tristan da Cunha

The Clipper fleet are not far from Tristan da Cunha. It is the remotest island in the world. No airport. It takes 6 days to get there from Cape Town. No hotels. The harbour is only safe on 70 days a year. I don’t think Rachel will be visiting. It is a British Overseas Territory and happy to remain so.
Sanya in second place at the Scoring Gate for 2 points. Well done Sanya!
But if you look for the weather, there is a storm brewing quite close by. They may go ahead of it, but it’s difficult to tell. Rachel gets a mention in despatches. She is reported to have washed her hair in a bucket on deck. Conditions must be good.
